What to look for with this assignment....
The main idea is to move in close, illuminate the face with window light and not include the window. See how the top of her head is cut off? That results in a stronger composition, with more emphasis on the eyes.. See the light on the face, edit for expressive tonality. It helps if your subject is wearing dark clothes.
